Quickie

Howz it? A quick post with 10 facts of what I've been doing, and a big question....

1. I bought a tomtom on Saturday and it took me the wrong way up a one way street with three lanes of oncoming traffic coming my way. Embarassing.

2. On South African TV they mute blasphemy in movies like we mute swear words.

3. I went to church on Sunday. That was great.

4. Roger Federer won the French. I could not be happier.

5. England beat Pakistan in the cricket. Also good news.

6. The above picture was a display at the mall, trying to sell bullet proof glass for cars. I think I heard gun shots last night....maybe I should invest?

7. On our way to the Lions match we bribed our way into the car park because we didn't have a parking ticket. I have a real problem with this and shared my discomfort with my SA friend. I say that we just fuelled corruption. He says that the parking attendent came to work that evening to earn money to feed his family and that we helped him earn a little bit more. Now I'm split. Was it wrong to bribe our way to safe parking and help feed the man's family? Or is it OK to use money to encourage a man to be dishonest?

8. Nobody left a comment on the last post....

9. Jesus loves you.

10. So do I.

  1. 1. You and I have not spoken in years, but that's okay because we really weren't that close of friends to begin with.

    2. I don't remember ever seeing this blog before, but I may be mistaken.

    3. I'm extremely jealous of your traveling adventures, even if they do take you down the wrong direction on a busy street.

    4. Spaghetti and Moulin Rouge still stands as one of my favourite Valentine's days.

    5. The reason why I'm commenting is because I think it's sad to have no comments on a blog.

    6. The real reason why I'm commenting is because some blogs that have only one comment on them will actually read "1 comments" and I find this error to be strangely entertaining.

    7. And I'll stop here because six is just an odd (or rather even) number on which to be finished, and, well, for a comment ten is just too many.

    Best,
    Lauren Peters

    5. Smashing news.
